This recipe is packed with goodness and full of flavour! Taken from the brilliant Quick & Easy Weaning cookbook by Annabel Karmel, this dish is perfect for babies exploring new tastes and toddlers too as you can leave the sauce nice & chunky.
Once you’ve chopped all the veggies, it’s just the case of throwing it all in a saucepan (minus the cheese and Basil) and let it simmer for 15 minutes until the vegetables are soft. I then blitzed it in the blender to make a thick, smooth, purée. Unfortunately Flo wasn’t too impressed. It looks like she doesn’t like the taste of tomatoes!
This is the first food she has refused to eat. She literally clamped her gums tight shut so I only managed to get one spoonful down her. Bella on the other hand wolfed it down! You can’t win them all! I suppose tomatoes are an acquired taste. I’ll give it another go in a couple of days.
The girls also had carrot sticks & Mini Vegetables Balls to nibble on, also taken from the Quick & Easy Weaning Cookbook. They make a brilliant, healthy snack. I’ll share that recipe soon! You know the drill, if you want to try this recipe, the details are below! Enjoy!
