Is anyone else’s Three-Year -Old extremely bossy?! Bella is beginning to develop a strong bossy streak. She demands me to play with her but then tells me off when I’m playing the wrong way. She takes her games very seriously and god help anybody who doesn’t abide by her rules.
Today we were playing with the girls new Melissa & Doug Prehistoric Dinosaur Playground Rug, it’s amazing by the way, you can get it from Amazon for £19.99 and it comes with 4 dinosaurs. Bella has a real thing for baddies and goodies at the moment, so her Diplodocus was the bad Dinosaur and he was armed with his Bow army aka Pterodactyl’s and Mummy’s Trex had to rescue the Stegosaurus they were keeping captive. Sounds gripping right?
So I’m playing along, trying to make the right noises when I’m supposed to, whilst looking as enthusiastic as I possibly can and I mentioned the word ‘flying’. Well it looks could kill, I would of drop dead on the Dinosaur Rug. She looked at me with a very cross expression and said “Mummy! You are not allowed to say the word flying. It’s a stupid word and only Dinosaurs are allowed to say it”. Alright love calm down.
At one point her Dinosaur was wearing a bow and I said in a overly enthusiastic voice “oh Bella doesn’t your Dinosaur look pretty”, she looked me and almost rolled her eyes and replied “No it’s not pretty. It’s his super Gecko camouflage”. Thankfully Flo woke up from her nap and was quickly roped into one of Bella’s games and I escaped to the kitchen to make a cuppa and stuff a Chocolate Finger. Seriously the sass is unreal sometimes, I suppose we don’t call them Threenagers for nothing!
