Bucket List

I don’t know about you but I’m definitely having a few more “bad days” recently. I sometimes just feel miserable. I’m so grateful that we live in a nice house with a garden, we have our health, two beautiful girls that play nicely together, devices to connect us to family & friends through social media and House Party Apps, but I just get days when I feel a bit meh, I suppose that makes me human.

Don’t worry it’s not going to be one of those doom and gloom kind of blogs, I just wanted to let you know that if you’re feeling crap right now, it’s ok to not be ok, we are all in this together. When I’m having my dark cloud days, I start to think of all the things I can’t wait to do when lockdown is lifted and I’ve started to make a bucket list. So just for fun, I wanted to share my list with you.

Bucket List

Number 1: Visit Family & Friends

Obviously this would be my number 1 must do, when lockdown ends. We are missing our family and friends lots and I know the girls are dying to see their grandparents again. The girls are looking forward to their sleepovers Nana & Grandad & Nanny & Grandad! Is every weekend ok?

Number 2: Eat a KFC

I’m totally craving some finger lickin chicken right now! Whose with me? When this lockdown is over, I’m totally getting myself a bucket of fried chicken and this Mama is not sharing #sorrynotsorry

Number 3: Mum’s Night Out

I want to organise an epic Mums night out with my Mummy friends that doesn’t end at 10pm and consume lots of cocktails and raise a glass to all the parents out there that manage to survive months of constantly entertaining and homeschooling their kids.

Number 4: Date Night

Get dressed up and go on a date night with my Hubby. I’m so looking forward to going out for dinner and sitting at a bar. We’ve been keeping ourselves entertained with old school games on the PlayStation, Netflix and numerous games of Home Run, but it will be so lovely to go out out again.

Number 5: Go to a Coffee Shop

I so can’t wait to go a coffee shop and have a cuppa in peace, not forgetting a cheeky treat on the side that you don’t have to scoff in secret with the fear of your toddler discovering you and then demanding more than half.

Number 6: Soft Play

I can’t wait to throw the girls into their favourite soft play centre and watch as they run wild and burn off all their energy. They are going to go completely nuts when they can go again. We have a new play centre opening soon in Tunbridge Wells, so I’m looking forward to exploring that.

Number 7: Plan a Day Out

I love taking the girls to new places or returning to our favourite Day Out attractions. We were invited to a couple of exciting events, but thanks to the virus they got cancelled! Hopefully they will be rearranged and I can share them with you all soon.

Number 8: Plan a Party

We are so going to plan a big party when this is all over! Get everyone together and just have fun! I think I might start planning a back into the wild party soon. Also by the time lockdown is lifted, we will be months away from the girls Birthday’s so I’ll have to start planning their party too, any excuse.

Number 9: Self Care

I had a gel pedicure back in January before our America trip and I cannot wait to have them removed and replaced! Bella is starting to turn into Rapunzel and Flo is resembling cousin Itt more and more each day, so I can’t wait to get the girls hair trimmed.

Number 10: Book a Family Holiday

Like a lot of parents, we have been robbed of the opportunity to book our last family holiday outside Summer Holiday’s before Bella starts school in September. I can’t wait until we can book a holiday to look forward to.

Number 11: Routine

I’m so excited to get the girls back into a routine. They both had only just started at their new nursery and Bella had started her swimming lessons. I can’t wait to get them back into the world.

I’m going to ask the girls what their bucket lists are and see what they say! Bella has been compiling a list of toys that she wants to buy when normality returns. If she had her way she would turn into a mini shopaholic.
