Did anyone else find it extremely exhausting when their second child was on the move?! Please tell me it’s not just me?! At just 7 months old, Flo is one strong and determined little lady! Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely proud of her and the fact that she’s not only mastered crawling, she’s already pulling herself up to stand, but by the end of the day I look & feel like a drained wreck!
I’m constantly stalked at the moment by both Mini Munch & Monster Munch. No corner or curtain can I hide behind, sitting or standing, you can guarantee that I’ll be greeted by Flo’s chubby, little mitts and her big, Bambi eyes staring me down, until I angle myself so that she can pull herself up to standing.
She’s not satisfied with that. Oh no! Mummy then has to bend down (it’s quite a long way down) and support her so that she can walk/bounce around after her big Sister. This is literally how I spend my day now. If I’m not watching her like a hawk, she’ll try and pull herself up on anything she can get her hands on, but sometimes misjudges and falls splat on the floor.
Whilst I’m Flo’s mobility bitch, I have to fit in spending time with Bella, which usually consists her either bossing me around or talking non-stop. There is also a bit of healthy, rivalry and a fight between the girls to get Mummy’s attention, which usually ends in Mummy being ambushed. This normally consists of Bella elbowing me in the face or ribs and Flo eating my face or pulling my hair.
Excuse my rant! I do love being a full time Mummy and watching my girls grow, but I’m only human and there’s only so much non-stop, chaos a Mama can take. Thank God for bathrooms, they are a good hiding place! And most importantly, Thank God for Prosecco! I’m having a girly night with one of my faves tonight, my Auntie Tracy!
