Our Bella Boo turned three yesterday, I can’t believe I now have a fully fledged Threenager on my hands. This little lady has been counting down the days until her Birthday so the excitement levels were running high all day yesterday. It’s been a full on two weeks of Birthday celebrations with Flo’s 1st Birthday last week and their joint Birthday party last weekend, so I think it’s safe to say that I’m definitely Birthday-ed out.
With the help of my hubby we transformed the house into Jurassic Park. There were Dinosaur balloons and bunting everywhere, inflatable dinosaurs, my super talented friend designed Dinosaur themed posters with photo’s of the girls, even Bella’s teddies wore Dinosaur masks and Dinosaur party hats. Bella loved it all and noticed every detail.
After Bella unwrapped a few gifts from her mountain of presents (Thanks to all our lovely generous and thoughtful friends and family), we got ourselves together and headed to Knockhatch Adventure Park in Hailsham. If you’ve never been before, I highly recommend it for a family day out. We visited in the summer and Bella loved it so much we promised her that we would return on her Birthday.
Bella’s favourite part of Knockhatch Adventure Park of course is The Lost Barn, a Dinosaur themed Playbarn. It’s fantastic! It’s full of slides and an aerial climbing nets, moving and roaring Dinosaurs. Bella wasn’t in the mood to try the ‘scary’ slides so us adults thought we’d take one for the team, especially when this Mummy went on the ‘death slide’-I had to put on my big girl pants for that one.
The girls love the Trampoline pillows, the soft play area in Froggies, which us adults also love, because the kids can play whilst you have a coffee and Flo loved the animals, especially the ducks! There is a great variety of animals including a walk-in Wallaby enclosure, which is brilliant! Bella also loved the outdoor Tractor play area.
After our lovely day out we headed home to open the rest of Bella’s presents and had a tea party with family. Bella loved opening her presents and playing with her new toys whilst dancing to her favourite tunes ‘Uptown Funk’, ‘One Kiss Is All It Takes’ and ‘Shape Of You’. Flo loved dancing and eating the wrapping paper.
I can’t believe my first baby is Three Years Old. Time flies when you’re having fun. I’m so proud of the strong, confident, intelligent, funny and loving young lady she is growing into. She is such a character, knows her own mind and has the biggest imagination. Let’s hope this next year doesn’t fly by as fast.
