Both of my girls love imaginative play and they also really enjoy playing with building blocks. We were kindly gifted this beautiful Lanka Kade Zoo Building Block set by Eco-Tots and it’s fast becoming one of the girls favourite toys. I’m not surprised, it’s so beautifully made and there is so much detail in each block that the opportunity for play is endless.
As soon as I set up the Zoo both girls couldn’t wait to get stuck in and play. Flo was desperate to destroy my creation and build her own Zoo, where Penguins have naps and Lions jump on the bed. She’s also cutting her last two molars, so she couldn’t resist chewing on the blocks.

Bella was totally engrossed and she set to work rearranging the Zoo, building enclosures for each animal. The Zoo Keepers were doing the rounds to make sure each animal was ok and the animals had the occasional gossip in between feeding times. Both girls played with the blocks for ages without losing interest.
This set is great for learning through play. You can teach your little ones the name and characteristics of each animal, or ask them to pick out each coloured block and this set also helps with developing those important fine motoring skills. I’m so impressed with the quality of these blocks and how much effort has gone into every detail, it’s so well made.
