I’m so excited to announce that I’m officially going to be an Auntie! My Sister is pregnant with her first baby and it’s due in November. Excited much! For those who know me well, won’t be surprised to hear that the first thing I said (apart from congratulations of course), was Baby Shower! I do love planning a party!
My Sister isn’t going to find out the sex of the baby, so I’ve been on the hunt for neutral themes and Baby Shower game ideas! We have a big family so there will probably be quite a crowd! Baby Showers are becoming more popular in the UK, so I thought I’d share some ideas with you!
Theme
How gorgeous is this theme? Once you have decided on your theme, the rest will fall into place. I really love the mint green and bronze colours here. Love a paper Pom Pom too! They always jazz up a venue. I quite like blush pink and gold for a girl but mint green is a great colour if the gender is unknown. I found this idea from Party Delights.
Decor
I really like these neutral decor themes. It’s all about the decor! I love confetti balloons! They are so simple yet so effective. I also love the baby building blocks. They would be really easy to make.
Ice Breakers
Baby Showers tend to have a mixture of different groups thrown together, so it’s always nice to have a couple of ice breakers to hand. I like these ideas. If you have a big guest list, you could put people into teams. The baby predictions and messages to baby can be done throughout the baby shower and they make a great keepsake.
Games
Baby Showers are all about having fun and not taking yourself too seriously! I really like these selection of games. With the Baby Shower’s I’ve planned, I’ve learnt to plan a couple of games and not to go overboard, because you never end up playing them. I would recommend picking two or three quick and simple games. Prizes always make the games a tad more fun. A lucky dip is a good idea.
