Well that’s not entirely true! We bake very little actually. It’s something I’d like to do more of with Bella. In fact I’d love to do a cake decorating class (but that’s another story).
I have a confession. I cheated and ordered a Frozen themed, ready made, cake mix from Asda and it was only £1…bargain! Bella lost interest after 2 minutes and refused to put the cake mixture into the cases, because she ‘didn’t want to get her hands dirty’-diva Chef in the making!
To be honest, she had more fun washing up and flooding the kitchen (not literally but it was a close call).
She also gave herself a little wash in the process (they do say a woman can multitask well) and continued to soak herself and the floor until it was time to decorate the cakes.
I managed to screw up the icing 🙈 so it was a tad runny (not that Bella seemed to notice). After the cakes cooled, we drowned the cakes in super, watery icing and then Bella decorated them with Frozen themed , edible rice paper.
Tada! The finished product! We won’t be asking Mary Berry to move over anytime soon! I hope Daddy is looking forward to his cake when he gets home from work. I’m unfortunately on a Gluten Free diet (selective) so I can’t taste one-damn!
