I’m having THE wildest Friday night! The table is covered in felt, I’m up to my elbows in tacky glue, Sam Smith is playing softly in the background and I’m having a cheeky glass of Prosecco. What an earth is she up to now, I hear you cry?! Well I’m attempting to make Bella a Felt play mat. She has such a big imagination, so I’m hoping she will appreciate it. If not, I’m sure Flo will enjoy eating it.
I’m going for a farm/garden theme as she has so many toy animals and literally plays with them everyday. As you might know from my previous blogs, when it comes to crafts, I’m all about the ideas and less about the deliverance. David did have a rather shocked look on his face, when he came home from work and saw me crafting at the dinner table.
I’m giving it my best shot and hopefully it won’t look like a right mess when I’m done. If this play mat goes down well, I’m going to give a Dinosaur theme mat a try (check me out, getting all craft ambitious). It should hopefully be finished by the weekend, so I shall share the finish masterpiece then. You lucky people!
I got all these bits from Hobbycraft & decided to use a foam mat rather than felt. I’m hoping it’s going to be more sturdy. I would of used a hot glue gun, but didn’t want to melt the foam, so I’m trying Tacky Glue, which is supposed to be super strong-time will tell on that one!
