We had a fun filled weekend at Peppa Pig World at Paulsons Park and we’ve had the best time ever! Peppa Pig World makes the perfect, family day out, especially if you have young children. All of the nine rides in Peppa Pig World are very gentle, so they are perfect for Toddlers and babies.
From Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club to Grandpa Pig’s Little Train, to Peppa Pig’s Balloon, there are enough rides to keep your little ones entertained. Bella’s favourite ride was George’s Dinosaur Adventure (that was Nana’s too) and Flo loved Daddy Pig’s Car Ride. I think Flo truly believed she was driving the car and she took it very seriously. As you can imagine, she wasn’t particularly impressed when the ride was over and she had to leave her beloved car.
I got to give Mummy Pig a Mother’s Day hug #mumwin and Bella was really excited to meet her too. I didn’t get a pic of Bella with Mummy Pig (oops) I obviously got way too excited #embarrassingmummoment. Flo was more than happy to observe from a distance and when asked if she wanted to say hello to Mummy Pig, we got a firm “NO”.
Peppa and George also make an appearance a couple of times a day. You can pick up a program at the Park Entrance to find out when. We ended up missing them both days because Bella really enjoyed the rides in Lost Kingdom, the Dinosaur themed World, she is obviously a bit of a thrill seeker.
I really loved George’s Spaceship Play Zone. It’s an indoor soft play centre and it gave us a welcome relief from the chilly wind on our first day and gave us grown ups a chance to refuel with a cuppa, whilst the girls ran free. There’s a nice sized area dedicated to under 2’s and this had a couple of musical instruments and foam building blocks.
Holiday Inn Eastleigh
I just wanted to say how impressed we were with the Holiday Inn Eastleigh. It’s the perfect hotel for families with young children. It’s not only a 10 minute drive from Paultons Park, it has so many extra touches that make little ones feel welcome.
Children not only a receive a goody pack on arrival, which includes a puzzle, crayons and a picture for them to colour in, they also get a milk & cookie voucher to cash in before bedtime. Kids also eat for free, and at dinner time there was a hot buffet to choose from which had a great variety including; pizza, garlic bread, tomato pasta, chips, fish fingers and salad sticks. There was also a kids corner at Breakfast which gave them the option of cereals and fruit or they could have food from the hot buffet.
We stayed in a Triple Room which had a double bed, single chair bed and a Travel Cot for Flo. The room was spacious enough, clean and has a tea making facilities and a hairdryer. There isn’t a fridge or mini bar so make sure you pack your own bottled water or gin.
We also took the girls for a quick splash in the pool after Breakfast. It has a small kids pool which was adequate enough for the girls. Flo wasn’t really feeling it and got fed up after ten minutes, but Mermaid Bella loved it! When my Hubby found out the hotel we were staying in was only a 3 star, he really didn’t have good expectations, but we all left the hotel saying that we would definitely stay again.
