We survived the 5.5 hour drive down to Cornwall! The kids were amazing! There was the occasional bitch fit from the babies, but overall we had a relatively stress free journey. Thank God! We rocked up at Retallack Resort & Spa and had a well deserved drink.
Bella’s Travel boredom buster pack was a god send and she was most definitely entertained throughout the journey. Our home for the week is lovely! How lucky are the kids to have this fab play area and toys in the lodge?! We also have a cute, wooden Wendy house on the porch.
The lodge is literally home from home! We are staying in the Daymer Twin 4 Bedroom lodge. There are stair gates in place, travel cots and high chairs provided, kids cutlery, plates, cups and bowls, changing mats and toys are all included in the package. See picture of lodge below
The resort is well set up for families. There is a brilliant playground that also has an area for under 5’s. There is also a small soft play area next to the playground. The leisure centre is small but decent. We all went for a swim this morning and the kids loved splashing around.
There is also a spa (us mummy’s are definitely going to take advantage of that). There is a man made beach & bar on site, with massive inflatables and slides in the water. The Lounge Lookout bar & restaurant has a relaxed vibe. The pizzas & Fish Finger sandwiches are amazing!
We ended our day with a few drinks in the hot tub-bliss! Tomorrow we are going to venture out and try and find a beach to spend the morning at.
