This morning my house was full of toddler chaos! It was my turn to host our Friday NCT get together and we all had a fab time! The kids played so nicely together. There was the odd scrap over the space hopper, but Fi made an excellent referee. Why do they always want that one same toy?!
I was armed with snacks. That seems to be the key to keeping toddlers happy! Some healthy, some not so healthy! I actually bribed them all with a mini, chocolate bunny to get them together for a photo. I’ve never seen five, two year olds move so fast!
Us Mums managed to stuff our faces with these scrummy cupcakes from Sainsbury’s! And we didn’t even have to share with the kids. How did we manage that one?!
Overall we all had a lovely, couple of hours catching up (we actually got to chat). The kids were on top form and entertained themselves! It’s so lovely that they are growing up together. After everyone had left, Bella told me that she “loves her friends”.
Last night I stupidly spent time sorting out a craft station. I carefully cut out bunny ears & laid out all the bits & bobs, so that they could make an Easter bunny. I was blindly optimistic with the view that they will all sit down nicely and do crafts together (do I not know anything about 2 year olds?!)
They were too busy stuffing their faces and playing so they all took one home with them (it’s the thought that counts). I’m so lucky to be part of such a great mummy group! Who’s turn is it next?!
