We visited Blackberry Farm in East Sussex for the first time today and we had a fab day out! I think it’s safe to say, that we had just as much fun as Bella did, maybe slightly more fun-well I did anyway!
Our morning got off to a rocky start when Bella threw the Mother of all bitch fits. She wanted her mimi (it’s what she calls her dummy), but the rule is, her dummy is for sleep time only, as I want to finally phase it out. This did not go down well.
Thankfully by the time we arrived at the farm, she had gotten over it. We were really impressed with Blackberry Farm. There is so much to do! The outside play area is amazing! It’s every kids dream! There are lots of extra activities to do including go karts, diggers, giant trampolines, sand pits, soft play, tractor rides, ride on’s, animal handling, you name it, they’ve got it and all at no extra cost! The only extra cost are pony rides & animal feed.
They had a good selection of friendly animals including Sheep, Goats, Cows, Rams, Donkeys, Llamas, Bunnies, Ferrets to name a few. The cafe had a good selection of food for both adults & kids and it was reasonably priced. There is also a large, outdoor picnic area which will be perfect for the summer!
There were a couple of baby change stations dotted around, which was helpful! At least you didn’t have to dash back to the same place every time you needed the loo or to change a nappy! There were also a few hand-wash stations dotted around.
We lasted 3 hours before Bella got tired! In the warmer weather you could easily stay longer. We will definitely go back. I can highly recommend Blackberry Farm for a family day out, you will have a great time! www.blackberry-farm.
