Oh no HO HO HO, Christmas is in the air and those pesky Elves are back to cause havoc! I say this every year, but seriously how are we in December already? The girls are at that brilliant age, where they whole heartedly believe in the Christmas magic. If you’re already stressing about your Elf Shenanigans don’t fret, I will be writing weekly blogs, with a round up of my own Elf on The Shelf ideas!
We’re Back!
Max, Seren and Buddy are back and they come baring gifts! Every year the Elves bring the girls their Advent Calendars and I recycle the same Christmas books each year, apart from a couple of newbies (the girls haven’t noticed yet). This year they also brought the girls an extra treat; a Playmobile Advent Calendar each! It completely backfired, Flo lost her *@#% when she realised that she couldn’t in fact open the whole lot at once, she bashed Buddy across the dining table a few times, whilst calling him a “stupid elf”, so much for Christmas spirit.
The Elves also brought the girls a Pokemon Annual and Princess Annual, Elf Bracelet from Etsy, candy canes and the personalised balloons are from Kent Balloon Art https://www.instagram.com/kentballoonart
Day Two: Singing Fruit
The Elves gave the fruit a make over and they practiced singing their Christmas carols! The girls have been rehearsing for their Nativity and Christmas concert so I thought singing fruit would be perfect! They absolutely loved it, especially when the naughty Elves were singing “Jingle Bells, Daddy Smells”.
Day Three: Toasting Marshmallows
I couldn’t resist this little campfire set from Etsy, it’s such a cute idea! The girls thought it was brilliant and they especially loved, “sharing” the Elves Marshmallows. I got the Elf on The Shelf themed Marshamallows from the Pound Shop, they have all sorts of props in there and it’s cheap and cheerful.
Day Four: PPPick Up a Penguin
I spotted these cute, light up Penguins in B&M and knew instantly that they would make a perfect Elf on The Shelf prop. Both of the girls love penguins and I also really liked the fact that they change colour and light up, so they can double up as a night light. There were a few different designs to choose from and cost £1.50. Take the easy way out sometimes and don’t put too much pressure on yourself to be super creative, sometimes the simple ideas are the most loved.
Day Five: Headbandz
The elves enjoyed a few rounds of Frozen Headbandz with Queen Elsa, Anna and their DesignaFriend Doll. The girls were delighted to see that the Elves had spelt their name using blue Smarties. I brought Headbandz for just £4.99 from B&M. The girls had great fun playing the game and trying to guess their characters.
Day Six: Stick The Carrot on The Snowman
The Elves and their friends had great fun playing stick the carrot on the snowman! The girls really enjoyed this one as they love this party game! Luckily the Elves saved some carrot stickers so that the girls could play in the morning. I found this Stick a Carrot On A Snowman set on Amazon.
Day Seven: Elves Colouring
I brought these Christmas Activity packs from B&M for just £1 and they make the perfect prop, when you are feeling tired and over Elf on The Shelf (Did I say that out loud?), this is a quick and easy idea. Max wrote a note to Bella to say well done for her Nativity today and Seren had a go at dot to dot! Tune in next week for another seven days of Elf of the Shelf!
