It’s that time again, another week in lockdown, another activity blog to help keep your children entertained and your sanity intact. How are you all coping? I think we are getting used to our new norm now, but we are definitely missing family, friends and our normal routine.
Number 1: Lacing Beads by BigJigs Toys
The girls had great fun creating caterpillars and necklaces with this Lacing Beads set by BigJigs Toys. This activity is great for developing fine motoring skills and hand-eye coordination. Number 2: Once Upon a Wish Events
The girls received a video call from one of their favourite princesses Anna from Frozen. Once Upon a Wish Events have the best princesses and their events are always amazing. Number 3: Timeout Bags
I’ve recently brought the girls a Timeout Bag https://www.timeoutbags.com and they are literally packed full of fun. Each Timeout bag is targeted at specific age groups, I got the girls the 3-5 year old bag. From Play Clay to a Bug Magazine to healthy snacks, to sticker books to crafts and lots more, there are so amazing activities to choose from your children will be entertained for weeks!
Number 4: Wooden Wands
These wooden wand kits by Baker Ross https://www.bakerross.co.uk are so easy to make. The girls used Little Brian Paint Sticks to decorate theirs but you could also use colouring pens. The girls had great fun chasing me around the house with their new wands, turning me into all sorts of animals. The wands are really sturdy to, so the fun is endless!
Number 5: Cereal box craft
Get creative with an empty cereal box. It’s so simple and the possibilities are endless. We have recently made a guitar for a competition running on Instagram and the girls really enjoyed it! Let your imaginations run wild and get in touch with your creative side.
Number 6: Face Paintoos
I brought the girls a Frozen 2 Face Paintoos set and they really loved it! It’s a bit tricky to work when you have a couple of overexcited fidget bums, you have to keep really still in order for the face tattoos to stick, but on the whole we managed. You get some Face Paintoos remover wipes in the kit and it comes off really easily. You can buy these kits from Amazon and Argos.
Number 7: Colour ‘n’ Style Unicorn
The girls had great fun giving their Unicorns a make over! The best thing about the Colour ‘n’ Style Unicorn set by Crayola is that the pens are washable and you simply wipe off your creations with the cloth provided and the fun can start again! You get a little brush and beads to decorate your Unicorn’s hair. I brought this kit from Amazon.
Number 8: Mega Bizzi Box
The girls were recently sent an amazing Craftis Mega Bizzi Box and they have been working their way through the activities. What’s exciting about this box is that you get lots of individual Bizzi Bags with themes including Airport, Safari, Space, Earth and lots more. Number 9: Bottle Sand Art
I had all good intentions when I brought this Bottle Sand Art kit from Amazon, but it was all a bit chaotic. Flo tried to eat the sand and she thought it would be a great idea to make it rain sand. It also took about 4 hours for the sand to make it’s way through the funnel into the bottle. However the girls had great fun mixing the colours, burying their trolls and making “rainbow juice“, so overall it made great sensory play.
Number 10: Books2Door
The girls love reading and they always get excited about exploring new books! We have recently discovered an amazing site that delivers books directly to your door! Books2Door https://www.books2door.com has so many books to choose and they are all at very competitive prices. There are lots of bargains to be had, the girls favourite is this Trolls Annual, it literally kept them entertained for ages and it was only £1.99!
