Bacon & Cheese Savoury Muffins, https://www.over60.com.au
I came across this recipe on Pinterest. I thought I’d include a recipe that had meat in it. These savoury muffins are probably more suitable for toddlers, because bacon is naturally salty.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 250g self raising flour
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 3 rashers bacon, cooked and finely diced
- 1 cup of milk
- Pepper to season
Method
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees and lightly greased the muffin tins
- Combine flour, cheese, bacon and pepper in a mixing bowl
- In a separate bowl whisk and milk
- Make a well in the dry ingredients and gradually add the egg mixture. Gently mix until just combined
- Spoon mixture into muffin tray and bake for 15-20 minutes
All of these muffin recipes are suitable for freezing, which is really handy if you want to batch cook. I can’t wait to get my bake on! Savoury muffins are also a great way to encourage, your toddlers to help in the kitchen. I hope your little ones enjoy!
