With the weather turning extra chilly it’s nice to cosy in with your little ones and embrace your creative sides. Bella is really enjoying arts and crafts at the moment and she keeps asking when we are going to get the ‘craft box’ out next. I’ve put my thinking cap on and hit up my go to app Pinterest, and I’ve gathered some Christmas craft ideas to share with you all.
Lolly Stick Christmas Tree
This is such a simple activity that is suitable for all ages. It not only makes a fun, festive craft activity, you could also hang it on your Christmas Tree or you could give it to grandparents or family members as a gift. Simply cut out different lengths of strips of card, stick them on your coloured Lolly Stick, using Super Strong Glue and decorate with small pom poms.
You can buy foam star stickers from craft shops including Hobby Craft to stick at the top of your tree and you can stick a loop of string, using the Super Strong Glue and star sticker so that you can hang it on your tree. If you’re feeling brave, you could give your tree an extra added sparkle by using glitter or glitter glue.
Fingerprint Reindeer’s
I love this idea! It’s so easy to create and it looks so effective. I found this lovely idea from Cassiefairy.com. Using brown paint, ask your little ones to make the Reindeers with their fingerprints. Once dried, you can help with the finishing touches and draw on the legs, antlers, eyes and nose. This would make a lovely Christmas card for Grandparents.
Handprint Christmas Cards
This is a lovely activity to do with your little ones and it also makes a great keepsake too. Simply draw around your child’s hand on a green piece of card, cut it out, stick it down on top of a strip of brown card and your child can take care of the rest.
Sparkly Snowflakes
I love this idea! The snowflakes look so festive. Once again this is an easy activity to do with your toddlers. Once you’ve created the snowflake using four coloured lolly sticks and Super Strong Glue, your little one can go to town and decorate them with glitter, snowflake stickers, pom poms, jewels and whatever else takes their fancy. These would look great on your tree!
