The girls had their very own bake off this morning. The Elves brought them a Fairy Wand Biscuit Kit by Craft Crumb, plus personalised aprons and personalised wooden spoons made by very talented friend Zoe (Zoeb.bee on Instagram). After they excitedly bashed the table with their wooden spoons and gave it a little chew for good luck, they were ready to get their bake on!
Craft Crumb kits are the best! They provide everything you need to make perfect biscuits, cakes and there are even kits to make amazing Birthday cakes. If you’re a bit of a Bridget Jones when it comes to baking (like me), you need Craft Crumb in your lives! I made the dough and stuck it in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes and the girls took care of the rest.
Each kit comes with easy to follow instructions and handy tips. The Fairy Wand Biscuit Kit includes; Biscuit mix, star cookie cutter, sugar paste, sprinkles, sugar icing and instructions. The girls really enjoyed getting stuck in and they took it in turns to cut out stars. They did really well and had lots of fun, my kitchen looked like it had been hit by a flour and confetti bomb once they had finished!
After the girls cut out all of the stars, I stuck the wooden sticks into each star and popped them into the oven for 10 minutes to bake. I cut out all of the pink and blue icing stars ready for the girls to decorate, once the star biscuits cooled down. The girls got a bit messy and sticky when making the biscuits so they both popped upstairs for an outfit change.
The girls loved decorating their Fairy Wand Biscuits, but I think they loved eating the sprinkles more! We stuck the star icing on top of the biscuits using the sugar paste and then the girls stuck the sprinkles on.
