Today we were housebound no more (hallelujah). My Husband had a rare Saturday off, so we had a chilled out, family day! We had a relatively stress-free brunch, at Frankie & Benny’s (apart from Bella throwing a bitch fit, when Daddy tried to help with a dangerously full cup of chocolate milk). I’ve just noticed the photobombing, nose picking, waiter in the background-nice!
The food was average. It always is in Frankie & Benny’s, but it’s child friendly and there’s room for the pram. Let’s face it, child friendly often out ranks the quality of food!
We bravely ordered Bella the kids Chocolate Fudge Sundae 😳 and she demolished it in minutes! It took about the same time for the sugar rush to kick in. This resulted in Bella trying to continually climb out of her high chair and lobbing Sylvanian Families at her Daddy.
After brunch we thought we’d check out Hollywood Bowl and kill half an hour in the arcades. David taught Bella the art of the 10p machines & caused great distress when trying to win her a Minion on a Grabbing Machine (she thought the claw was hurting the Minion-bless).
We then scared the crap out of her on one of those virtual rides (look at the fear in her eyes). Which resulted in her crying her eyes out & demanding to go home.
We ended up killing 10 minutes. We won’t be going back to Hollywood Bowl anytime soon (until Bella’s mans up). I just hope we haven’t scarred Bella for life!
