We had lots of fun celebrating Father’s Day at Godstone Farm today with Nana & Grandad and we didn’t let the rain dampen our spirits. The heavens opened just as we arrived, so we dashed to the Soft Play Barn and had coffee and cake, whilst we let the girls run loose. I got my weekly dose of exercise after venturing up to the big slides, countless times and Danger Mouse Flo, had a blast throwing herself down the slides by herself.
Thankfully the rain stopped so we made our way to the Miniature Steam Train, which was set up especially for Father’s Day. Dad’s got a ticket for a free ride on arrival, but extra tickets could be brought for just 60p from The Gift Shop. There were big smiles all round on the Miniature Steam Train, except for Flo who decided she would much rather run around than ride the train.
We had a quick pit stop at The Cafe for Chicken Nuggets and chips all round. There is a good variety of hot and cold food, soft drinks, hot drinks, ice cream and also a selection of cakes at The Cafe. There are plenty of picnic benches with umbrellas and also indoor seating. There are also a few high chairs outside too.
After we refuelled we made our way to the outdoor playground whilst the sun was shining. Bella was reunited with the Rocking Rooster, which is where she stayed for the whole duration of our playground adventure and Flo had lots of fun on the swings. The double swings are a genius idea as they allow you and your little ones to swing safely together.
The girls loved stroking and meeting the rabbits in the Animal Handling barn and they each had a cuddle with a bunny. They also had the opportunity to meet and stroke a chick. This was Flo’s favourite part of the day as she loves animals. I’m always impressed at how gentle she is with them.
The girls loved watching the “cheeky goats” and their kids, jump and play on the hay. Flo was also very excited to see the sheep. We always have so much fun when we visit Godstone Farm, there really is something for all ages and the girls have always been thoroughly entertained. It was so nice to spend the day in fresh air and the girls were worn out by the end of the day #parentwin
Nana and Grandad had lots of fun and were roped into jumping in muddy puddles, soft play and Flo repeatedly demanded that Nana pushed her on the swing. They live quite close to Godstone Farm, so it’s the perfect place to meet up for a day out. It’s definitely one of our favourite, family days out.
Godstone Farm have a couple of exciting events coming up and you do not want to miss them, so make sure you add these dates to your diary; Festival on the Farm, 27th July-1st September, Wiglets Great Spook-er-ree, 26th October-3rd November and Wiglets Father Christmas Visit & Adventure, 23rd November-24th December.
