This lucky sausage (yes me) cashed in my Birthday present from my girls today-a Spa Day at The Spa Hotel Tunbridge Wells & Afternoon Tea for me & a friend (Thank You Daddy). I raced out the door at 9am and didn’t waddle in until 3pm (I ate way too much cake). It was heaven!
My chosen friend was Eva and we had a fab time! It’s a very simple spa but lovely. The Relaxation Room was our favourite part. It smelt heavenly, there are super comfy lounge chairs, for you to kick back and catch up on the latest celebrity goss, relaxing music playing softly in the background and the whole ambience of the room, instantly chills you out.
There is a Sauna & Steam room and a lovely, warm pool. I was a tad disappointed to learn that there isn’t a jacuzzi, but at least that forced me to do some laps in the pool and do some actual exercise!
We both had an half an hour treatment each and chose a Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage. I can honestly say it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had! I love the ESPA products used in the Spa, they smell divine.
Our package included Afternoon Tea (as if we hadn’t been spoilt enough), which was absolutely delicious. The savoury part not only included sandwich’s, we also got a mini cup of leek & potato soup and a quiche. All the desserts were yummy and we washed it down with a glass of Champagne (ok I’ll stop gloating now). We left feeling truly stuffed and well rested!
