We’ve had a pretty busy weekend so after a mad dash around the shops yesterday morning, a bit of down time was needed for both the girls and I. As you all know, I’m all for learning through play and I get very excited when I set up new activities for the girls to try. I really need to get out more.
I’ve recently discovered Tinker Tray Play, on Instagram and I’m hooked! This amazing small business sells all sorts of toys and early years resources that encourage children to learn and explore through play. I set up this bug themed activity and the girls loved it!
This activity is great for lots of different types of development. The Jumbo Tweezers are great for developing those all important pincer grips as well as hand-eye coordination. The Bug Counters are great for learning colours, counting, as well as teaching little ones about the different types of insects. And lastly the Flower Sorting Tray is great for teaching sequences as you can group the bugs by colours, type of insect etc.
You can buy all three from https://www.tinkertrayplay.co.uk. I was so impressed by the quality of all three products. They are very sturdy and not flimsy and survived Flo chewing on them! The poor thing is cutting her top canines, so she’s wants to chomp everything in sight.
The girls really enjoyed exploring the different type of bugs and it kept them entertained for ages. The Flower Sorting Tray is so handy! I’m definitely going to use it a lot this summer. If you want to try new activities for your little ones over the summer holiday, you must check out Tinker Tray Play!
