I don’t think you can really comprehend the term ‘terrible twos’ until all of a sudden Tornado Tantrum hits home and there’s a whole, host of emotions flying through the air.

Dealing with an extremely sensitive Toddler is bloody hard work! Exhausting in fact. The tantrums come out of nowhere and can happen at any given moment and they are usually over the silliest of things!

They expect us Mums to be mind readers and know that they wanted the ‘unicorn cup’ and not the blue cup! Oh and God forbid you cut their food the wrong way!

My sweet, happy, innocent baby Bella went from this:

To this:

(And this was because I didn’t get her smoothie quick enough). She is turning into a sassy, stubborn, feisty, strong willed, over dramatic, little Madam.

Here are some of the delights she has come out with this week:

  • Don’t touch me
  • Leave me alone
  • Don’t touch my iPad
  • Mummy don’t talk to me
  • I don’t want curly fries or Fish Fingers, I don’t like it (5 mins after she had asked for it for lunch)
  • This tastes horrible
  • *wailing* it’s not tricky (when I’ve asked if she needs help with something) it’s too hard
  • Mummy stop! Stop singing (ok I’ll give her that one)

It’s so hard not to laugh! I’ve been told that I’m quite funny when I’m stroppy. My old work colleague (and good friend) witnessed my bitch fits on many occasions (they normally came out of nowhere and are over the silliest of things-hmmm I’m seeing a pattern here).

On this occasion, my Husband had kindly offered to cook dinner but when he told me he was cooking pasta. I threw a strop and whined or maybe growled “but I don’t want cheesy pasta”. I also probably stamped my feet! I wonder where Bella gets it from 🙈🙈

I think it’s time I start some sort of time out with Bella! My parents used to threaten to take my Brother’s back to the baby shop, when they were little sods (which was quite often). Wish me luck!!!
