We are off to Cornwall next week for our first family holiday of the year. It’s such a long drive and from where we live, it can take over five hours to get there by car. To stop Bella asking “are we nearly yet?” 50,000 times and to avoid the girls getting royally fed up, I’ve put together a travel goody bag each. I thought I’d share my ideas with you, to help save your sanity if you’re travelling long distance with your kids this summer.
I plan to split these goodies over the journey to and from Cornwall. I’ve gone for a whole variety of activities including sticker books, Water Magic colouring book, blind bags, craft activities, wooden peg dolls, Top Wing toy, Farm in a Tin and various storybooks. As always I want to make your lives easier, so I’ve listed below where all of these items are from.

I must admit Amazon is definitely one of my go to websites. I really like the idea of the Funny Faces sticker book as it’s reusable. I thought the Count The Monsters Book would really keep Bella entertained as she has to search for particular monsters on each page. The Water Magic books are a genius idea! Simply fill up the pen with water and off they go. No fuss and no mess.
The Farm in a Tin is perfect for Bella. She absolutely loves playing with little toys, so I have no doubt this will keep her entertained for ages. The Cutetito is a blind bag and it’s basically a small cuddly dog wrapped in a Burrito. Thanks to the TV ads Bella has been desperate for one for ages. Storybooks in travel bags are great because they double up as bedtime stories.
The Range
You all know how Dinosaur obsessed Bella is, so I couldn’t resist the board book from The Range. It’s also perfect for sharing with Flo as she can’t rip the pages, she’s going through a destructive stage. It was only £1 which is such a bargain.
Asda
Bella is obsessed with PJ Masks Blind Bags. She’s been desperate to bag a PJ Masks Robot figure but we are yet to find one. She also loves Top Wing and Asda have a special offer on at the moment on their Top Wing toys.
Pocket Peg Dolls
Bella is all about imaginative play and these beautifully made The Octonauts peg dolls by Pocket Peg Dolls on Instagram, will keep Bella entertained for ages. She’s going to be very excited when she finds these in her goody bag. I’m excited to see what scenarios she creates with these.

I tried to choose books that Bella would also be interested in reading to and I picked a Farm Water Magic book for Flo because she’s obsessed with animals. I like the Make-a-Scene The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Friends sticker book as it looks simple and the stickers are reusable.
The Range
These Bug Books are brilliant for little ones. They are sturdy and the story is simple and fun. There are a few different stories to choose from and they are only £1 from The Range, which is such a bargain.
Asda
Thanks to her big Sister, Flo is equally obsessed with PJ Masks Blind Bags. Although much to Bella’s amusement, she does always seem to get the same characters each time! To avoid arguments, I also got Flo a Top Wing toy.
Zoo in a Tin
Unfortunately I didn’t realise how small the parts were going to be, so Flo will have to wait until I’m with her before she can play with her Zoo in a Tin. I can’t trust her not to try and eat the animals whilst she sat in her car seat. This Zoo in a Tin is from Amazon.
Pocket Peg Dolls
Flo is obsessed with dogs. She has an excitement fit every time she sees one, so I can just imagine the big smile on her face when she sees these super cute, Dog peg dolls by Pocket Peg Dolls. I’m sure she’ll enjoy eating them too.
