We had a fun-filled, day at Godstone Farm today. The girls and their friends had an absolute blast and they literally didn’t stop all day. I love how much effort Godstone Farm has made with all the decorations. They have certainly embraced Halloween and there was fun, spooky touches everywhere you looked.
There is so much spooky, family fun to be had and lots of activities to choose from including; Transformation Station, Pumpkin Carving, Halloween themed crafts, Trick or Treat games, spooky stories, the brand-new Light Illusion Tunnel (which is amazing) and lots more. We decided to get into the Halloween spirit and we made our way to the Transformation Station where the girls had their face painted. For £5 your little ones can have their paint painted plus they get to choose two props.
All of the girls had dinosaurs and glitter and they also chose a Halloween bag and face mask. I was surprised at how long both Bella & Flo actually kept their masks on! You can buy your voucher for the Transformation Station at the Gift Shop. I’m useless at having cash on me, but luckily the Gift Shop also does cash back, up to £50, which is really handy, as some of the activities require a small fee.
We then did the Dino trail before heading to the animal handling barn. The girls got to stroke piglets, a chick and they got to have a cuddle with a guinea pig. After our animal fix we checked out the brand-new Light Illusion Tunnel. It was brilliant and so well done, there were lights everywhere and the Halloween themed illustrations on the walls, glow in the dark.
You get a pair of special Halloween glasses before you enter and these transform the lights into scary skulls, pumpkins and creepy bats. The girls really enjoyed it! We then made our way to the craft hut to make spider headbands. All four girls really enjoyed decorating their headbands and Flo really enjoyed licking the glue-strange child!
The girls then started to chant “soft play” so we headed to Wiglets Play Village; an indoor play area where children are encouraged to use their imaginations through various role play including a Vet, Chef, Construction site and there is even a baby area too. There’s also the Indoor Soft Playbarn which the girls also love. Flo really enjoyed playing Vet and Chef and she really embraced the spirit of Halloween by pretending to cook herself in the oven!
After a quick lunch pit stop, we took a walk to see the rest of the animals and made a beeline for the impressive outdoor adventure playground. The girls loved sharing the double swing (it’s such a genius design) and thought it was hilarious to demand to be pushed higher at the top of their lungs. They also enjoyed playing in the sandpit and the rocking horses.
Unfortunately we didn’t get around to doing all of the activities, but we will make it our mission to complete them all next year. Once again we’ve had an amazing day out at Godstone Farm. Here’s another date for your diary, Thursday 31st-Friday 1st November for the Low Bang Fireworks event! Your ticket includes entrance to the farm for the whole day and pre show entertainment starting at 5pm which includes; Party dances, giveaways, competitions and a display by the Godstone Dance Academy. Fireworks start around 5.30pm and they will be choreographed to music. Don’t miss it!
