We had the best afternoon today, hanging out with our good friends Zoe & Buster and their two gorgeous girls Evie (3) and Hattie (5 months). We had a BBQ picnic at Teston Bridge Country Park in Maidstone. If you’ve never been before, I highly recommend it.
It’s mainly a big field but there are picnic benches dotted around, there is also a lovely wooden swing park, refreshment van and toilets (always a plus when you have little ones). It’s a great family & dog friendly park and there are plenty of picnic benches to go round. It was so lovely to watch Bella & Evie chase each other and climb trees (well attempting to). The nine month age gap really doesn’t seem that big anymore.
Zoe & I managed to coordinate for the occasion! Completely unplanned-honest! We both obviously have fantastic taste! The boys were on BBQ duty and they cooked us a feast! Flo was on a mission to steal whatever she could off the girls plates (she’s not wearing her Cheeky Sausage tee for nothing), but unfortunately Mummy always stopped her just in time-spoilt sport.
The girls are well and truly pooped tonight. Although Flo still fought bedtime until 8pm! She is now pulling herself up to stand, so why sleep when she can practice her new trick!
