It’s that time of year again and the girls social calendar’s are full of parties, I swear they have better social lives than me. Today Bella went on a Gruffalo hunt and helped cook popcorn on a campfire at her friend’s Sophia’s Forest party and yesterday we celebrated Millie’s 3rd Birthday at an amazing place called Little Street in Maidstone. Tomorrow we are off to another party to celebrate Bella’s friend Hattie’s Birthday.
I wanted to write a quick blog about Little Street. If you have never been before you definitely need to check it out (with kids obviously, otherwise you might look a little strange), it’s brilliant and great for encouraging kids to use their imagination and to role play. From Firefighters to Construction Workers, to Doctors & Opticians, to Superstars & Make-Up artists and to running a cafe, at Little Street the kids can be whatever they want to be.
You get an hour and half party slot and the kids get the freedom to get stuck in and play. Bella loved playing shops and adding things to her shopping trolley, she also really enjoyed playing Doctors and Opticians. Flo loved it too! She loved being able to trash the place and take things off the shopping shelves without being told ‘no’.
Flo was extremely gutted that the cakes and treats in the cake shop/cafe weren’t real. Her face lit up when she saw the cake display. She kept trying to eat them, each time her mouth got wider, just in case they magically changed into the real deal.
All the kids had the best time, Little Street is such a good party venue. We found that the best car park was Fremlin Walk in Maidstone and then Little Street is literally a 5 minute walk from there. Just head for the Star Arcade and you’ll find it in there on the first floor.
