The girls were the hostess with the mostest this afternoon as their chosen friends joined them for a fun filled, Easter Tea Party. The house was decorated with Easter bunting, banners, balloons and Easter Egg Hunt clue cards from Party Delights https://www.partydelights.co.uk, party music played and excited, girly screams filled each room. As soon as the girls guests arrived, they all sat down for a lunchtime feast.
I prepared party food favourites including sausage rolls, jam sandwiches, cocktail sausages, chicken nuggets, fruit salad, mozzarella sticks, crisps, breadsticks, party rings and chocolate fingers and a selection of cupcakes. To create an Easter vibe, I used a grass table runner by Talking Tables brought from Amazon. I also brought super cute Bunny Plates, plastic Bunny shaped bowls and Bunny ears from Party Delights.
Whilst everyone tucked in and stuffed their faces, the Easter Bunny (me sssh) hid a load of plastic eggs for the girls to find. Eagle eyed Bella was the first to notice a couple of eggs dotted around the kitchen and the hunt began. No corner was unturned and the girls found the eggs in no time.
After a frantic dash to find eggs, the girls and Dylan sat down for a game of Pass the Parcel. I prepared it last night and included two prizes each including star sunglasses, mini Dinosaurs, Dinosaur rings, bracelets, duck whistles and bath toys. You can never go wrong with a game of Pass the Parcel and thankfully there was no fighting over the prizes.
After the game the girls all decorated their own Baker Ross Scratch Card Egg. This provided some quiet time and gave us Mum’s some relief from the chaos and girly squeals. The sun was shining so after queuing to get their shoes on, everyone headed to the garden to get some fresh air.
My friend Eva was on garden entertainment duty and she had the girls playing Egg & Spoon race, chase and did a fantastic job at playing referee when the girls were squabbling over a broom (seriously who needs fancy toys) or the ball. At one point, Emily had them all hopping along as she sang Sleeping Bunnies.
I think it’s safe to that everyone had lots of fun. The girls love spending time with their friends and Bella has already asked me when the next party is. At the end of their Easter Tea Party, each guest was given one of these Easter themed goody bags to take home.
