Today we stepped out of the house for the first time in five, whole days and boy it felt good! The sun was shining (the wind was blowing quite ferociously-but we will ignore that part) and us girls had a spring in our step. I was definitely tempted to yell ‘freeeeeeedooom’ at the top of my voice, but didn’t want to scare the neighbours.
We headed to Royal Victoria Place in Tunbridge Wells and joined the queue of overly excited toddlers and Mums trying to keep them going with a variety of snacks. We were there to meet Chase out of Paw Patrol. It took 45 minutes until we met the main dog himself. Bella waited very patiently, I suppose it was good practice for when we go to Disneyland.
Bella was very excited and happily posed for photos and Flo was intrigued (I love the way she’s checking Chase out in the picture). After, we met Daddy for lunch at Fenwicks (the table looked like it had been set upon by a wild pack of animals when we had finished with it) and then we met my friend Emily and Bella’s ‘best friend’ Alice (Bella’s words).
The girls were happier running up and down, outside of the free soft play area than actually playing in it, but they had the time of their lives. When we got home, I quickly threw together some messy play for Bella on her Tuff Spot tray (Rice Crispies & squirty cream), whilst I cooked dinner.
She really enjoyed it! However she spent most of the time eating it! I’m going to have a hunt for some more creative Tuff Spot ideas. Watch this space!
