We’ve had a lovely day with friends at The Hop Farm today. I think it’s great value for money, at only £3 each to get in (under 1’s go free), the entrance fee includes soft play, crazy golf and the farm. You can also buy tokens (£1 each) at the door for extra activities. We paid for the girls to go on the Jumping Pillows, which they absolutely loved.
The Playground was a hit. I definitely noticed the difference now that Bella is almost three, she’s big and brave enough now to climb and explore. Although it’s quite high, so both Eva and I got involved (that’s our excuse) and we climbed up onto the climbing frame with the girls. There is also a smaller climbing frame for little ones.
Crazy golf is also included in the price, when the girls weren’t using it to climb and balance on, they all decided to give it a go. It was quite comical to see all three of them with their golf clubs. They all took it very seriously and it kept them entertained for 5 minutes.
After we let the girls burn off some steam in the playground, it was the babies turn, so we headed to the indoor soft play and cafe. The soft play is well equipped for both big kids and toddlers and babies. The girls were more interested in hanging out with their younger siblings than venturing into the bigger Soft play area.
After soft play we ventured over to the farm. It’s quite small but big enough to keep the kids entertained and interested. There were a couple of chickens and roosters strutting loose around the farm which Bella found hilarious. They have a nice selection of animals including Llama, Horses, Rabbits, Goats, Birds, Guinea Pigs, Sheep, Alpacas, Ducks, Donkey and there’s a reptile section.
The girls were so excited when they got to feed the sheep. Unfortunately I had to make a hasty exit after Bella felt it was acceptable to lob sand at people, even though I had asked her three times not to do it! I gave her plenty of chances and pulled out my “we’re going home if you do that again” card and she decided to call my bluff.
