We’ve had the best day at Godstone Farm for Nana’s Birthday today. The girls loved every second, there is so much to see and do, so both girls were thoroughly worn out and fell asleep in the car as soon as we left. When asked what her favourite part of the day was, Bella replied the Dinosaurs (why am I not surprised?) and the big slides in the soft play area.
At just £9.40 entrance fee, you certainly get your money’s worth. There is an impressive selection of animals including petting stations and so many opportunities for the kids to have close encounters with the animals. Bella stroked a Bunny, Pig, Pony, Chicken and Donkey today and she did it with the biggest smile on her face.
Flo also loved seeing the animals and practiced her new skill ‘pointing’ whilst taking it all in. She also got to stroke a pony but the moment was short lived when she got a bit too grabby. Flo’s favourite animal of the day were the Pigs, maybe I have Peppa Pig to thank for that.
After we followed the Farm Trail we explored the outdoor adventure park, which was brilliant! There’s a big outdoor sandpit with diggers, plenty of buckets & spades and climbing frames. There’s also a shaded area for babies. The thing I was most impressed with is the double swings, you get to swing with your baby or child in a seat in front of you, brilliant idea!
After we let Bella have a good run around, we decided to head to the cafe and soft play barn. Both girls were having so much fun, that we ended up staying there for quite a while. Next door there’s another play barn that has a lovely area for babies and a couple of role play stations including a Vet, Chef Kitchen, Construction site and a reading corner.
The highlight of Bella’s day was the Dino Trail! She got so excited every time she spotted a Dinosaur. I think the whole of Godstone Farm could hear her excitedly scream each Dinosaur’s name. Beware of the photo opportunity Dinosaur, it really does have sharp teeth.
The ride ons were a big hit with both girls! Nana taught Bella how to pedal. The ride ons are at the side of the cafe and soft play barn and they are also next to the Dino Trail.
If you’ve never been to Godstone Farm, you must do so. It’s perfect for families with small children. We all really enjoyed our day out, so much so that we are going to come back on Flo’s Birthday.
