The girls are finally starting to feel better, hurrah! Flo ended up having an ear infection, but thankfully the antibiotics have kicked in and she’s a lot happier. We’re having a lazy weekend at home, so this morning the girls got creative with their Halloween themed kits by Kids Knead Play.
These Play Dough kits are brilliant! Once again Kids Knead Play pulled out all of the stops and the girls Halloween kits were packed full of treasure for them to explore. Flo absolutely loves her kit and she wasted no time making a Birthday cake for Mummy. She even sang Happy Birthday to me and then she blew out the pretend candles.
As Flo is fast approaching two (in 12 days time to be exact), I’ve noticed how much more she enjoys imaginative play. She most definitely spent less time trying to eat the contents of her kit and she was completely engrossed in decorating her “Birthday cake”. Flo’s Halloween kit included; Two different, scented Play Doughs, green, orange and pink feathers, pipe cleaners, straws, peg doll, pom poms, mini broomstick, buttons, beads, jewels, matchsticks, plastic lid and a purple wooden ball.
Bella asked for a spider themed, Halloween kit. She currently has a weird obsession with spiders, even though she is actually scared of them. Bella loves imaginative play and she was lost in her own little world, where spiders build sand castles and fly kites. I just love how much effort goes into making these kits and how they encourage children to use their imaginations.
Bella’s Halloween Kit includes; Two scented Play Doughs, three plastic spiders, beads, eyeball, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, pom poms, grey plastic lid, straws, buttons, jewels and black glitter. The girls played with their Halloween kits for almost an hour, stopping occasionally to swap “treasure” or to show each other what they had made. The girls really do enjoy playing together now, it’s so lovely to watch them chat to each other.
