We were up and out the door by 9.30am this morning. Check us out! With two very excited toddlers, we headed to Newquay Zoo. It’s such great value for money. Kids under 3 get in for free and for just £27, you get to use your tickets and visit the zoo, as many times as you want for a whole week.
It’s the perfect size Zoo. It’s not too big but there are enough animals to keep the kids interested. There is also a playground and a couple of cafes for refreshments. There were a lot of different, interesting enclosures including a bat cave (Bella refused to go into that one), a toad and frog enclosure and even a free flying bird one.
The girls were particularly excited about seeing the Lions. They were too busy having a cat nap (living the dream), but we still had a good view of them. Flo gave lots of smiles to the penguins. We were there for around 2.5 hours before we decided to leave for Padstow for ice creams!
I think we will definitely go back and visit the zoo again before we go home. It’s a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. Right outside the Zoo is a swing park and a cute, little steam train that kids can have a ride on. There is also a cafe that sells ice cream.
