Well don’t I feel like someone has taken the jam out of my doughnut! After a rather stressful day of Bella playing her defiant card one too many times, day three of potty training has been a testing one! Please pass the wine.

Although she managed to do four wee’s in the potty today, she was in a ‘fingers in ears, tralalala I’m not listening’ mood! Have you noticed the lack of stars in the ‘I sat on my potty for a while’ column?!

We tried to follow her lead today and let her take control and tell us when she needs the potty, but it became clear that she isn’t ready for that and maybe I’m expecting too much of her after 3 days. So in the afternoon, we resorted back to setting a timer but this time, we put her on the potty every 25/30 mins for 10 mins at a time.

She hasn’t quite got the knack of pulling down her pants either (to be fair they are on the snug side), so we ditched the drawers and hope that this will encourage her to dash to the potty without worrying about faffing with her pants.

I think once she has got the hang of it, I’ll put her back in pants. The question I keep asking myself is, will I ever be able to leave the house again?!
