I stupidly questioned why it took me so long to get my jobs done in town today. I made the mistake of letting Bella on the loose and she wasn’t going to waste any opportunity to explore. What should of been a quick 30 minute dash around the shops, somehow turned into 2 hours. This is why.
She had to climb aboard every ride thingy (not sure what the official name is 🙈), explore and touch every attraction or pop up businesses trying to flog you something (a toddler with her mitts on their products soon stopped them in their tracks), naturally run the opposite way from where I was heading and tried to be helpful by carrying the shopping basket (which was twice the size of her) in Boots. She gave it a good drag before declaring it ‘was too heavy’ and then ran towards the toy section (gulp).
It’s all part of the fun & games of a Toddler growing up. I want to encourage Bella to walk more and learn about her surroundings and the do’s & dont’s of out & about in public. It also gives her that independence that all two year olds crave.
We then headed home and later in the afternoon, we were joined by Bella’s ‘best friend’ Elsie for a spontaneous play date! Girls were back in the pool and were cracking each other up by blowing raspberries at each other.
Flo was extremely happy to see that her Boyfriend Dylan was waiting for her in the garden when she woke from her nap and us mummy’s may of had a cheeky glass of wine. The bottle was open, so we couldn’t let it go to waste! Another fun day in the sun!
