I used my new Steamer & Blender last night to whip up some purées for Flo (I can’t believe it’s almost time to start weaning). I decided to go for the Cooks Professional one (mainly because it was the cheapest, costing £29.99 on Amazon, unlike some that cost an arm & leg) and I love it so far!

It’s very small & compact without sacrificing the size of the food bowl. It’s sooooo easy to use. You literally fill up the water tank, turn clockwise to steam and anti-clockwise to blend and that is it!

It’s also easy to assemble & disassemble to clean! I made a variety of different purées including Califlower, Brocolli, Corgette & Carrot and used Annabelle Karmel’s Silicon Ice Cube tray to freeze them.

I prefer the silicon trays because they are BPA free, dishwasher friendly and it’s a lot easier to push the ice cubes out (no more hunting around the kitchen for a weapon to bash the cubes out of a tray).

I then bagged & labelled them in a freezer bag. I always write a date, because once weaning is in full flow and the endless batch cooking begins, it can be so easy to forget when you made stuff!
