I’m really trying to make more effort in the kitchen and cook more for the girls. Today I made them both Supergreens Cheese & Chive Pasta, taken from The First Foods Book, The Purple One, by Ella’s Kitchen. It definitely went down well! I wasn’t sure if Bella would even contemplate tasting it, because it’s not only green, it’s something completely new and we all know how suspicious toddlers are with new foods,

I didn’t have time to do my usual chop-board, ingredient picture. Now that Flo is officially on the move, I have to have eyes in the back of my head. She’s not content with just crawling, she is now trying to pull herself up to standing on anything she can get her hands on, so I had to make this at a super quick.

I decided to whack it all into the blender and make a thick, creamy sauce, rather than mashing it. I thought it would make it look more appealing to Bella. I’ve also renamed the dish ‘Tinker-bell Pasta’ (sorry Ella), anything to curve ball toddler suspicion.

It’s so easy to make and actually tastes really yummy! It’s also packed full of goodness so it’s a great lunchtime dish for both baby & toddler. You can also bulk cook this recipe and stick it in the freezer. Both girls filled their boots and really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend giving the recipe a go.
