I’m all for learning through play so when I was approached to test the brand new Heromask, I jumped at the chance. Bella has expressed an interest in learning Spanish. My Sister and Nephew live in Spain so I think she is curious about the Spanish language. Heromask isn’t just a virtual reality toy, it also helps to encourage and teach children new languages.
As you can see we all had a go, even Flo got in on the action. My Hubby felt a bit giddy after his go (I think that might of had something to do with our spontaneous night out last night), I was amazed at how detailed it is, whether you’re looking up, down, side to side, there is so much to see and take in. Bella really surprised me, she can normally be extremely wary about trying new things but she found Heromask fascinating.

She’s currently learning about Space in pre school so she got really excited when she spotted the moon, stars and planets. She was moving her head around, whilst commentating on what she was seeing. The Heromask is designed for children aged between 5-12 years old. There are lots of different themed games but you need to make sure your head is facing in the right direction in order to choose a particular option and then there is a button underneath to actually click on it.
The Heromask is really easy to set up and use. You download the app onto your phone, type in your unique code, provided with your Heromask and then you pop your phone into the mask and voila, you’re good to go! There are five languages to choose from English, French, Spanish, German and Chinese and lots of fun topics to choose from including food, flags, animals, numbers and lots more, there are plenty of games to help your little ones learn a new language.
