Bella burst through our bedroom door around 5am and she was full of beans. Flo was still sprawled out, fast asleep in our bed, but Bella’s subtle “wake up Flo Flo” in her not so quiet and serene voice, did the trick. We had a lazy morning unpacking, whilst the girls played nicely together and hubby and Grandad went to Walmart.
We wanted an easy day after our long journey the day before, so we headed out to Disney Springs for a mooch around the shops. The relaxed vibe was quickly squashed when we bravely ventured into the Disney World store and all chaos broke loose. The girls were on a mission to test how quickly they could spend Daddy’s money. Bella chose an Elsa and Nemo Teddy and Flo chose Pua from Moana.
We fought the temptation to spend $60 on a princess dress (it was a close call) and we managed to get the girls out before any more dollars were spent. The girls loved taking it all in, the sun was shining, the atmosphere was buzzing and there were lots of Disney touches everywhere. The girls loved spotting the Disney Princess figures and Flo totally worked it for the camera.
There are so many amazing restaurants and bars to choose from, you really are spoilt for choice. You can make dining reservations on the Disney app, which is well worth doing if you are planning to visit over the weekend. We had a quick peak at the T-Rex restaurant, which is a Dinosaur themed restaurant so it’s right up Bella’s street, but it was really busy. We’ve got a packed itinerary but hopefully we can fit it in before we go home.
We ate in a lovely Italian restaurant (I wish I could remember the name) and wandered a little more before deciding to head back to the villa for a swim. We only saw half of Disney Springs, but what we did see was impressive and it’s a well worth a visit. The girls couldn’t wait to get in the pool, Flo was a little less enthusiastic when it came to actually getting into water.
Bella absolutely loves water! I need to get her booked in for swimming lessons when we get home. After we all had fun in the pool, the girls got showered and dressed for bed. Bedtime was running smoothly until Florence aka The Menace decided to lock herself in her bedroom.
It was pitch black in her room and she got in a right state. We took the door handle off, but we still couldn’t get to the lock, so we had to tell Flo to go back to her bed, so she was away from the door and then Hubby kicked the door in. The drama knocked both the girls out and they were both fast asleep in no time.

Us grown ups managed to stay up until 8.30pm before we decided to call it a night. The girls are up at 4am so it’s early nights and early starts. We went to Epcot today and it was brilliant! Blog coming soon, so watch this space!
