Don’t panic, Father’s Day isn’t until Sunday 16th June, so there’s still plenty of time for your little ones to create a masterpiece for their Daddy. I always like to encourage the girls to make their own cards, so I’ve been on the look out for ideas. As always, I like to make your lives easier, so here are some ideas for you to try at home.
Roarsome Daddy
This is one of my faves! Bella is Dino obsessed so this would be the perfect Father’s Day card! You could also make a Dinosaur out of a handprint, turn it upside and get your little one to use their fingerprints to make spikes and stick on a pair of goggly eyes. This idea was taken from Mum’s The Boss.
Dad Finger Painted Card
This is such an easy and simple idea. Draw and cut out letters D, A and D, ask your child to paint a background using their fingerprints with a few different coloured paints. Once the background is dry, stick on the DAD and mount it onto a coloured piece of card. This idea was taken from Clare’s Little Tots.
Monster Handprint Card
I really like this card idea, it’s so simple yet really effective. Once you cut out your little ones handprints, you can let them get creative and decorate them. Set up a couple of bowls with different crafty bits; Pom Poms, jewels, card cut up in different shapes, glitter glue, goggly eyes or feathers, a separate container with PVA glue and glue stick and watch as your little ones have fun personalising their handprint monsters. You could also make footprint monsters. This idea was taken from The Best Ideas For Kids.
Footprint Lion
This is another simple card idea. You could use your child’s finger prints to make the Lion’s mane and tail or you could ask them to draw it on using Paint Sticks. You could also make a Tiger handprint. This idea was taken from Easy Preschool Craft.
