I don’t know about you, but each year for Father’s Day, I always struggle to think of different gift ideas. I really like unique gifts, especially those with a personal touch. With Fathers Day around the corner, I thought I’d share this idea with you!
Personalise a photo album by using stick on Scrabble letters. I liked ‘Best Daddy’ but you can write whatever you like. I got this Photo Album and Scrabble stickers from Hobbycraft. You can also buy Mache Letters from Hobbycraft and decorate them with a Washi Tape of your choice. You’ll need four rolls to do the job properly.
The idea is to take a photo of your child or children with the D, A, D letters every year and stick the picture in the photo album. So over the years there will be a collection of a special ‘Father’s Day’ photo’s. This not only makes a unique and thoughtful gift it makes a great keepsake too!
I did this for David’s first Father’s Day. The picture above is of Bella! We were moving around Father’s Day last year so I forgot to take a picture (still gutted about that), I also lost the original letters in the move, so I decorated these letters tonight.
This idea is great for first time Daddy’s. It’s easy to make and really is a lovely gift. It doesn’t only have to be a gift idea for Daddy, you could do the same for Mother’s Day (take note Dad’s), Grandparents, Auntie’s & Uncles. I hope this helps? Beats boring old socks!
