I think it’s safe to say that the girls Animal themed Birthday party was a roaring success (do you like what I did there?). Both girls enjoyed every second and they loved celebrating with all their friends. Bella loves her Spider Tutu dress made by Victoria’s 2Tus so much that tonight she dramatically stated that “she never, ever wants to take it off”. We managed to compromise and agreed that she can wear it again on Halloween-phew.
Flo is totally obsessed with dogs so she dressed up as an Dalmatian. I got Flo’s outfit from Amazon, I’m definitely packing this outfit when we go to Orlando! I couldn’t resist and got in with the action and pinched Flo’s cat ears to match my leopard print dress #sorrynotsorry. I got my dress from New Look, I’m loving leopard print right now.
It was an early start for me, I was up at 5.30am making 26 sandwiches for the girls & their friends. I decided to make lunch boxes for the kids this time, rather than platters and I included a sandwich, Pom-Bears, Frube and mini Chocolate Fingers. There was also an M&S fruit platter, party rings and mini cupcakes for the kids to help themselves to. We put on a spread for the adults which included M&S Sandwich & Wrap platters, sausage rolls, vegetable spring rolls, chicken dippers, crisps and dip, chocolate doughnuts and fingers and we also had beer & Prosecco.
The party kicked off with the longest game of Pass the Parcel ever. With 26 layers, I had made the world’s biggest parcel. It was so heavy that some of the kids were struggling to pass it round at first-oops! At one point an impatient Flo plonked herself in the middle of the circle, grabbed the present and ripped a couple of layers off, to be fair she probably did everyone a favour!
Our Amazing Animal World most definitely wowed the girls and their friends with their brilliant selection of animals. I was so impressed at how friendly and engaging the Our Amazing Animal World team are and they know just how to make the children and parents feel at ease. Every child had the opportunity to meet, stroke and engage with the animals.
There were eight animals to meet including a Hedgehog, Snake, Bearded Dragon, Chinchilla, Skinny Pig, Lab Rat, Giant Snail and Rabbit. I was very impressed at how brave Bella was and she got involved with all of the animals and even had a couple perch on her head. Before she went to bed tonight she gave me a long list of pets that she’s expecting Father Christmas to deliver including pretty much all of the animals she had met at the party.
A very special guest appeared and as you can see by the biggest smile on Bella’s face, she was over the moon. Once Upon a Wish Events provided Spider-Man and an entertainer and they really got the party started. With lots of great party games, prizes and dancing, the girls and their friends had so much fun. I’m always impressed with the level of professionalism that Once Upon a Wish Events brings, we are now looking to book a party package with them for the girls party next year.
It was so lovely to watch the girls have the best time with their friends. A big Thank You to everyone who came and celebrated with us today and also Thank You for the girls gifts. Bella’s Birthday is Thursday so she’ll open her presents then and Flo can gradually open hers each day. Also a very big Thank You to my Auntie Tracy and Cousin Lewis, you always get roped into my party prep and you always do it with a smile on your faces!

We hired Bells Yew Green Village Hall. It’s such great value for money and it has a kitchen, plenty of table & chairs, parking and an outdoor play area.
