Our lovely friend Sophie came over for a play date with her 17 month old son William. We were both optimistic with the promise of cake, tea and a long overdue catch up.

The reality; the cake remained in the box, uneaten. Our tea went cold and we only managed to have broken conversations over Bella throwing bitch fits, left, right and centre and William attempting acrobatics, whilst standing up on Bella’s chairs.

We were both as bad as each other and kept forgetting what we were talking about every time we were interrupted (Dory eat your heart out). How playful are play dates anyway?! The toddlers either ignore each other, or spend most of the time sizing up each other toys whilst shouting ‘mine’ and us Mum’s spend most of the time with eyes in the back of our heads and constantly reminding them to share!

Flo went into meltdown mode because she was overtired so whilst I rushed bath & bedtime, Sophie put the toddlers to work and tidied all the toys up for me. Sophie you’re a legend!!!! We must do this again soon (famous last words).
