Hello strangers! I’ve been totally rubbish at blogging recently. I’ve taken a break from my blog but I’m back now. The girls joint Birthday party is two weeks away-seriously where has this year gone?! So I have been busy preparing for their party.
They are both obsessed with Peppa Pig, so naturally they are having a Peppa Pig themed party. We have hired a local hall and Peppa Pig themed soft play and bouncy castle, so all I have to take care of is the decorations, food and the all important party bags. We have a total of 29 kids coming, so I made an early start on the party bags and thought I’d share them with you.
Party Bags for the 3 year olds+
I used to love a Party Bag as a kid, it’s always so exciting to have a good rummage when you get home, so I’ve always enjoyed making party bags for Bella’s Birthday and now Flo’s. Here’s a run down of the party bag bits for the three year olds and older kids at the party;
Mask Kits
I wanted to encourage Bella and her friends to get crafty, so I thought it would be a nice idea to make a DIY mask kit, for them to decorate at home. It’s so easy to do! I brought a couple of packs of masks from Hobby Craft but you can also pick them up from Amazon. The feathers, pom-poms and glitter tubes were all from Poundland and the stick on gems were also from Hobbycraft. I brought large, clear sweet bags, brown string and tags from Amazon.
Balloon Head
I really liked this idea because it’s fun for all ages! These Balloon Heads come in a pack of 24 and you get a variety of designs. I brought them from Amazon. It includes a balloon, baseboard and sticker to create an animal.
Bubbles
What’s a party bag without bubbles?! All kids love bubbles and you can buy bubble tubes in packs of 8 at Poundland. Bargain!
Stickers
Stickers also make a great party bag filler! They are cheap and it’s an easy way to carry your theme. I brought a pack of these Peppa Pig stickers on Amazon. They are easy to peel, so perfect for 3 year olds.
Peppa Pig Crayon
I love this Peppa Pig shaped Crayon from CrayonCrazy. It’s perfect for their Peppa Pig themed party bags and the kids will love it! You can buy these crayons in packs of four through Instagram.
Glow Stick Bracelet
I used to love these as a kid! When you crack them, they glow in the dark! I thought these would make a great, party bag filler for both the big kids and babies. You can it a tube of 20 Glow Sticks in Poundland.
Treats
What’s a party bag without sugary treats to send the kids loopy?! I had to have these Peppa Pig themed raisins! I brought them in Poundland and multi pack of mini smarties from Asda.
Personalised Thank You Stickers
I love these stickers! They are a great way to seal the party bags, whilst Thanking your guests for coming. I got these from www.eternaldesign.net.
Party Bags for the one year olds
I pretty much kept the contents of the one year old party bags the same as the three year olds, except I’ve included a Peppa Pig book rather than the mask kits. You can pick these up in Poundland. White Chocolate buttons instead of Smarties and I didn’t include a Peppa Pig Crayon, because they would be too tempted to eat it!
It can be tricky to know what to put in kids party bags so I hope I’ve given you some inspiration! I’ll write a blog about the finishing touches soon so watch this space!
