Bella is trying this new thing called inserting her own independence. It normally involves her darting off when I least expect it and refusing to stop or blatantly ignoring me when I ask her to come back. It’s all fun and games when she decides to do a runner in a busy place.
I didn’t want to go down the reins route as we have been there, done that when she was younger and I don’t want to squish her independence. So I was really pleased that I came across the Adventure Belt by More 2 Explore on Amazon. I loved it because it’s hands free, gives you peace of mind and still allows your toddler to have some freedom.
You simply put the belt on and use the safety strap and click it onto your child’s belt, so that you are both connected. It also has a cute, themed pouch with different designs (I chose the Tiger one for Bella) and Bella wasted no time and stuffed it with toys. It’s comfortable and you can easily adjust the tightness of the belts.
Bella loved the belt and didn’t feel restricted. We did have a few comical moments, where she would go the opposite direction and ended up wrapping the safety strap around my legs. Be warned, it will take you an extra 30 minutes to get to where you want to go, but this really is a must buy!
